Almaden Trails, an organization of trail users focused on the advocacy, planning, construction, and maintenance of shared-use trails in the hills around New Almaden 14 miles SW of San Jose, is now in the initial organizing stage.
We need active members who are willing to work together to assist park and open space land managers with planning, financing studies, and building trails. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves organization composed of all significant user groups. We have adopted 12 miles of mountain bike trails under the SCC Parks Adopt-a-Trail program. While there is no single track in this selection in Quicksilver Park, it is a start, and it is easy 🙂
